The archipelago
of Guadeloupe, located in the eastern part of the
Caribbean, is a French Region and consists of a number of
islands.
Because Guadeloupe is an overseas
department of France, it is part of the
European Union and the official
currency is the Euro.
If you are traveling to Guadeloupe from Europe, you
will find a good value for your holiday but if you are
coming from the U.S. or Canada, it may be a bit more
expensive than other parts of the Caribbean.
Shark diving seems to be a particular pastime in
Guadeloupe.
There is but one golf course, Golf International de
Saint-Francois, and they do not have a website as far as
we can tell.
Fishing in Guadeloupe also trends to the tangential. Elwatafly is
the only fly-fishing lodge in the Caribbean.
You'll have an unforgettable stay, enjoying the wide range
of activities offered, both on the two large islands
forming the butterfly and on the smaller dependencies. |
