Famous for music and its natural beauty, Jamaica
is, perhaps, the most energetic island in the Caribbean.
This, of course, can be said of most islands. Still, it can be something of a
wonder to spend your
holiday on the island
that gave us Bob Marley
and Jimmy Cliff.
The national currency
of Jamaica is the
Jamaican Dollar (JMD).
It is quite inflated at
times so the US Dollar normally goes a long way in Jamaica.
This rate of exchange
varies daily so we
suggest changing your
currency upon arrival in
Jamaica.
You should
receive a better rate that way.
Drug laws are strictly enforced and
some parts of the island are not
considered appropriate
for tourism.
That said, the wonders of the island,
both natural and cultural, are
exceptional.
Jamaica has given much to the world of music with its
particular style.
For many, a holiday in Jamaica is an
unforgettable experience.
