Providing Guided fishing trips, with the most experienced captains Deep Sea, Tarpon Fishing and Fly fishing our fishing charter is available in San Juan, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and Culebra and Vieques. Full or half day deep sea guided fishing trip, light tackle fishing on a custom, 35' vessel that is handicap accessible. The Legend is docked in San Juan Bay Marina just minutes from metropolitan hotels. In less than 25 minutes you will be 1 to 5 miles from shore fishing in waters 6000 feet. The Puerto Rican trench, otherwise nicknamed "Blue Marlin Alley" is famous for Blue Marlins caught between the months of July through September. We are also available for tournaments throughout the island and can do charters all around the island as well as USVI, BVI, and even Venezuela. In 1976, Captain Anderson (AKA "Moondog") began working for The Florida Institute of Technology. He worked on all five of their boats which, at the time were involved with teaching marine biology, hard hat diving, and underwater photography. He continued to work for The Florida Institute of Technology for another year and a half. He then started working on ocean going tug boats, which he continued to do for the next thirteen years, where he earned his US Coast Guard Captain's license. He currently holds a thousand-ton freight and towing license. For the last thirteen tears, he has been running a charter boat for fishing, diving, and whale watching out of Rincon Puerto Rico. He has been fishing in and out of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, since 1990. Mareja can accommodate up to 6 guests in a sun shaded Fishing machine. Newcomers to this great sport as well as hard core fisherman, can enjoy the excitement of deep sea fishing. The Mareja has a well seasoned crew which have been fishing together the Offshore waters of La Parguera for the last 25 years. This team effort is crucial when handling big fish and large quantities of smaller fish. Blue Marlin hook ups in Caribbean Puerto Rico are more common than any other billfish. This is the fish that will test both the angler and the tackle. Dolphin fish at La Parguera running with seabirds, commonly average in size from 25 lb cows and 50 lbs. bulls. These are lots of fun to catch acrobatic fish, with multiple hookups, and a delicacy at the dinner table. Wahoo also forage the waters off La Parguera and are great fun to catch. Captain Jose Campos has fished the Atlantic From Brazil to Canso Nova Scotia. Captain Jose has fifty years of experience, is a Club Nautico Hall of Fame Member and he has also been a Winner of the following tournaments.
