Arawak Expeditions Our boat is a 2001 Edgewater 175CC, powered by a 90hp Evinrude E-Tec outboard. It can comfortably accommodate up to three passengers (plus the captain). It is equipped with a large casting platform at the bow, lockers for your gear, and plenty of rod holders. It also has a VHF radio, GPS and a Raytheon fish finder. This is the perfect boat for fly fishing and inshore fishing in these waters. The deep-V hull can handle the chop that we encounter on most days, yet the boat only draws 10 inches, so we can get into some pretty shallow spots. We use the boat for trolling inshore and along the coast for cero mackerel, bar jacks, bonito or yellowtail snapper. We also use the boat to get to the flats, but most of our flats fishing is done while wading, so please bring wading shoes or flats boots. Our spinning rods are all equipped with top-quality Penn reels.

Licensed for up to 6 passengers, she provides full size lavatory facilities, air conditioning, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, CD player, fresh water and plenty of seating. The boat is equipped with the latest electronics, top of the line fishing equipment, and plenty of shaded areas.

All this with a huge cockpit with plenty of room to fight your fish. Mixed Bag is located at the Westin St. John, Resort & Villas; the open design of his boat puts the captain close to the cockpit action. Here he can tutor anglers as necessary or assist the crew on multiple hookups.

All trips are custom designed to fit the schedule of the angler. The types of trips offered range from inshore to offshore. Inshore trips involve the use of Live Bait and light tackle. These trips are great for kids or the angler who just wants to walk away with a .mixed bag. of fish (not to mention a worn out arm). Inshore trips tend to yield King Fish, Snappers, Black fin Tuna, Shark and Barracuda.

Offshore trips allow the adventurous angler to experience the famous North and South Drops. A mixture of trolling and live baiting in these waters can yield the size fish most of us dream of catching. Most commonly caught are Yellow Fin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi and Blue Marlin. but the captain constantly searches for activity on the water or in the sky.
